Rovia is preparing the transport strategy for the proposed Berinsfield Garden Village in South Oxfordshire. The proposed strategic allocation extends to approximately 130 acres and will comprise approximately 2,000 new homes and 5 hectares of employment land along with a primary school and local centre. The new development will support the regeneration of the existing Berinsfield village.

The transport strategy promotes a vision-led approach to masterplanning, whereby opportunities to minimise the need to travel and maximise the use of sustainable modes are prioritised over single occupancy car trips. However, it is acknowledged that car trips will remain an important mode of travel and this is reflected in the strategy.

A planning application is expected to be submitted in 2027.
